Facials
The following Aftercare Advice is an important part of the treatment and ensures you maximise your Facial treatment:
• Avoid wearing make-up for at least six hours after a facial treatment.
• Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face. To prevent loss of moisture, protect the skin from make-up and to keep the skin soft and supple.
• Always remove all traces of make-up at the end of the day.
• Drink plenty of water (we recommend 6-8 glasses per day).
• Eat a healthy, balanced diet – include at least five portions of fruit and vegetables.
• Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a facial.
• Avoid sunbathing for up to 12 hours.
• Avoid direct heat, such as saunas, hot baths, showers or a hot hairdryer.
• Do not apply perfume or perfumed products to treated area within 48 hours of having a facial.
• Stay away from direct sunlight/sun-beds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after having a facial.
• Do not apply any other exfoliating skincare products for 72 hours after having a facial.
• Always use an SPF sunscreen to block ultraviolet B rays.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol.
Dermatude Meta Therapy
-
After treatment, your skin may show redness and mild warmth.
-
You may experience a slight burning sensation on your skin which feels like sunburn. This feeling will disappear within a few hours to one day.
-
Avoid touching the skin with your hands for the first 24 hours because your hands accommodate a lot of bacteria.
-
Avoid swimming and bathing (except showering), sunbathing, sun-beds , sauna and steam rooms for the first 24 hours .
-
Drink plenty of water
-
Change your pillow case
-
Avoid direct sunlight, wear a sun hat.
-
Do not fake tan
-
Avoid excessive exercise which may cause sweating
-
Avoid shaving the treated area
-
You should avoid smoking for as long as possible to avoid toxins
-

-
To support the intensive Meta Therapy and obtain optimum results, we explicitly advise to use the Dermatude Facial Cream daily, which was designed for your Meta Therapy treatment. The ingredients of the Dermatude Facial Cream are completely attuned to the Subjectable applied in the treatment. Should you prefer to use a cream by a different brand, make sure you are completely informed about the ingredients, in order to avoid any undesired reactions caused by the cream you have chosen.
-
After 24 hours you can wear makeup again.
Chemical Peels
-
Depending on your skin's sensitivity, Skin may temporarily appear red or flushed after treatment depending on skin condition and sensitivity.
-
Wash your face with cool water. Warm or hot water might not feel as good as cool or cold water, which can help soothe post-peel sensations.
-
Side effects may include dryness, stinging, irritation, itching, redness, swelling, tightness, peeling, or scabbing.
-
On the second day, skin may appear darker or may begin to flake.
-
On the third day, peeling may begin around the nose and mouth, followed by the cheeks, forehead, jawline, and neck.
-
Moisturise and hydrate. Since peels can temporarily compromise your skin's protective barrier, it's important to reinforce that barrier with a medium-to-thick moisturiser. Also, drink more water to help avoid dehydration, which could make your skin feel tight.
-
For the duration of the peeling process, the Pro Power Peel Post Procedure Kit is recommended to care for skin after treatment.
-
Apply sunscreen with SPF30 or more. Your skin is more delicate after a peel, so avoid direct sun exposure, which can lead to even more visible signs of skin ageing. If you must be exposed, use a Broad Spectrum physical sunscreen.
-
Avoid strenuous workouts, dry saunas and steam rooms. Increased blood circulation to the face can intensify warming, tingling, itching, redness or other uncomfortable side effects on freshly peeled skin. Skip such activities on the day you use a peel.
-
Don't over-exfoliate. Peels are maximum-strength exfoliants, so you don't need to use a separate exfoliant (like a scrub, brush or exfoliating cleanser) within 3-4 days of your peel. Over-exfoliating can lead to more redness or sensitivity, so wait until your skin feels up to it.
-
Once your skin feels “back to normal” after a peel, it's generally considered OK to resume your normal skin care regimen
