What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides, often referred to as “PDNs,” have recently taken the aesthetics industry by storm. That being said, they have been used for decades in the treatment of wounds, burns, ulcers and scarring. Derived from fish DNA, polynucleotides are injectable gels designed to stimulate collagen production and enhance skin tightness. They are an effective anti-oxidant and have a moisturising effect making them a wonderful allrounder, suitable for almost everyone. These innovative treatments promote a brighter, more youthful appearance and can be used to address a multitude of aesthetic concerns. With the power to address concerns like crepey skin, lines around the eyes, dark circles under the eyes, saggy skin and “tech neck” lines, polynucleotides are a testament to the ever-evolving landscape of aesthetic solutions.

Restore your youthful glow

As we age, collagen and elastin, the proteins crucial for maintaining firm, youthful skin, begin to decline. This leads to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. Polynucleotides stimulate the production of these vital proteins, reversing the effects of ageing and leaving you with smoother, more youthful-looking skin with a well-rested appearance.

Improve skin hydration and health

Polynucleotides revitalise your skin by stimulating fibroblasts, the cells that produce collagen and hyaluronic acid. This boosts hydration and moisture retention, making them a powerful solution for dry, dehydrated skin.

Moreover, polynucleotides act as antioxidants, neutralising harmful free radicals that cause ageing. Free radicals are generated by stress, cell damage, UV exposure, and environmental pollution.

By creating an optimal environment for fibroblast growth, polynucleotides help you achieve healthier, more vibrant-looking skin.

Reduce scarring and pigmentation

By improving skin texture, polynucleotides can effectively minimise the appearance of acne scars and promote a more even skin tone. Furthermore, polynucleotides demonstrate significant potential in addressing a variety of skin concerns, including hyperpigmentation (such as brown spots, sun spots, and age spots), rosacea, and redness.

Expect minimal downtime

Polynucleotide treatments are incredibly convenient, with each session lasting around 30 minutes. The non-invasive nature of the treatment minimises side effects, enabling you to return to your normal routine immediately. Enjoy the benefits of rejuvenated skin without any significant downtime.
