Exosomes are small vesicles naturally produced by cells and contain various biomolecules such as proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. They play a role in cell-to-cell communication and have been found to be powerful in stimulating skin rejuvenation and hair growth and reducing inflammation in the skin.
Anyone who wants to improve the health and quality of their skin. It can be used for age-related issues, scarring and even eczema. Please note that many of these indications may not be listed under the approved use list for exosomes. These are regulated for cosmetic use and, therefore, must be seen as a product to help with skin rejuvenation. Treatments are often used ‘off-label’ in the world of medicine, and some applications of exosomes may be offered under this premise based on anecdotal evidence. This treatment is excellent as a combination protocol alongside collagen-stimulating treatments like Radio Frequency and microcurrent. Even one session with such treatments can deliver more powerful results. You can continue with topical growth factor treatment at home.
When you visit us for a consultation, we will look at your medical history and concerns and help you choose the right therapies for the best possible outcome.
Depending on your individual circumstances, Exosomes can help stimulate skin rejuvenation, promote new hair growth and reduce skin inflammation. They can also work really well combined with other treatments. A consultation can help us bespoke a treatment plan made just for you.
Exosomes are approved for topical use only. Your clinician may offer you micro-needling alongside topical exosome application to enhance the penetration of the product. However, topical use alone has been shown to be clinically effective.
YES. Your body makes and uses exosomes all the time and knows what to do with them. No long-term negative side effects have been reported with this treatment. Furthermore, our preferred products – Exo|E and E-50 – utilises purely plant or salmon-based exosomes which have been shown to have a bio-mimetic effect in humans (i.e. work like our own exosomes). Human-sourced exosomes do NOT comply with EU regulations for cosmetic products and cannot be used, even topically. Our chosen brands have had significant investment in Research and Development with a solid foundation of clinical evidence with regards to safety and efficacy.
Ideally 3-6 treatments, but this does depend on your individual circumstances, treatment goals and expectations. If used in combination with another treatment, then even one session can be very useful. Our consultation process will allow you to get a better idea of what may be best for you.
On average, most patients start to see signs of improvement after their 2nd or 3rd session but often earlier.
Exosomes offer a multitude of benefits for skin rejuvenation, including:
Improved skin texture and elasticity
Enhanced collagen and elastin production
Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
Improved skin health and hydration
Addressing specific skin concerns, such as acne scars and hyperpigmentation
Promoting hair growth and improving hair follicle health
By harnessing the power of exosomes, you can achieve a more youthful and radiant complexion, while also addressing specific skin concerns and promoting overall skin health.
Exosomes work by facilitating intercellular communication and influencing various cellular processes, including skin repair and regeneration. They contain a wealth of bioactive molecules, including growth factors, proteins, and genetic material, which are released into the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This leads to improved skin texture and elasticity, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and enhanced skin health and hydration.
Exosome therapy is an advanced skin treatment that uses exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells. These exosomes contain a rich concentration of proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and growth factors, which promote tissue repair and stimulate cellular communication. When applied to the skin, exosomes work to rejuvenate skin cells by boosting the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining skin elasticity and a youthful appearance.
Exosome skin therapy offers several benefits that make it a preferred choice for many seeking facial rejuvenation and skin treatment. Some of the most notable benefits include:
Improved skin tone: Exosome treatments help in achieving a more even skin tone by targeting uneven skin texture and pigmentation issues.
Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles: By stimulating collagen production, exosomes minimize the appearance of fine lines and deeper wrinkles, promoting a smoother, firmer complexion.
Facial rejuvenation: The regenerative properties of exosomes contribute to improving the skin’s texture and structure, helping combat sagging skin and improving overall skin’s appearance.
Skin hydration: Exosome treatments are known for enhancing the skin’s moisture retention, leading to healthier and more hydrated skin’s surface.
Acne scars: Exosome therapy is effective in reducing the visibility of acne scars by promoting tissue repair and restoring the skin’s natural healing processes.
Sensitive skin: The anti-inflammatory properties of exosomes help soothe sensitive skin, reducing skin inflammation and mild redness.
Unlike dermal fillers or cosmetic surgery, exosome therapy is non-invasive and requires minimal downtime, making it an ideal option for those looking for natural skin rejuvenation.
Avoid any other facial treatments for 72 hours
Avoid touching or washing your face for 4 hours
Avoid make-up for 12 hours
Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a high SPF sunscreen to protect the treated areas.
For the first 24-48 hours, it is best to avoid vigorous exercise, hot baths, or saunas to reduce the risk of irritation. Keeping the skin hydrated with a gentle, non-irritating moisturiser is also advised.
If any redness or swelling occurs, it typically subsides within a few hours to a day.
Following these aftercare guidelines will help maximise the benefits of your Exosome treatment and support the healing and rejuvenation process.
