Although a remarkable difference is seen after the first treatment, the benefits are cumulative and typically a course of 10-15 treatments will be required for optimum results. A course of treatments should be taken 2-3 times per week
After a course of treatments you will see real improvements in how your skin looks and feels. Your facial contours will look lifted and toned with a fresher, more youthful appearance. A monthly top up treatment is then recommended to maintain results.
It’s just like going to the gym for a body workout. If you stop, the results will gradually diminish and your facial muscles may eventually return to how they were before treatments commenced
No. All treatments are non-invasive and gentle on the skin so there is no interruption to your lifestyle
Treatment is not advised if you have any of the following conditions: All forms of cancer, pregnancy, epilepsy, diabetes, heart condition/cardiac pacemaker, thrombosis, facial implants (if treating face), skin disease (avoid area), skin lesions, recent surgery (performed within the last six months), Areas being treated with Botox® (wait three months) or dermal fillers (wait two weeks) should be avoided. Note: Antidepressants, high blood pressure and other muscle relaxants may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Please note: If you are taking any medication or have an existing medical condition or concern not listed above, please consult with your doctor first.
Microcurrent therapy delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bioelectrical field. Microcurrent stimulation helps to re-educate the muscles and can lift, firm and tone. Microcurrent in aesthetics is commonly described as “facial toning” or “non-surgical face lifting” due to the dramatic lifting effect that it has on facial muscles and contours
Microcurrent treatment is virtually sub-sensory with just a slight tingling sensation. Customers often describe it as an energised or warm sensation on the skin and is virtually painless.
Yes. Microcurrent therapy was originally developed as a medical application to treat facial palsy and restore muscle tone by applying tiny microcurrent impulses to the affected muscles. Today this proven technology is now available in thousands of aesthetic clinics worldwide as a painless cosmetic treatment.
The orbital rotation of the handpiece performs a progressive and controlled skin exfoliation, removing imperfections and impurities. A selection of single use, disposable abrasive treatment tips coated with a layer of silicon carbide are used to either superficially or deeply exfoliate the epidermis, resulting in a clearer, smoother and more youthful looking complexion. The CACI orbital microdermabrasion delivers simultaneous LED Light at the same time as the exfoliation to promote healing and skin rejuvenation.
This treatment is completely painless. We use a ‘no dragging’ and ‘no pulling’ technique on the skin and simultaneous vibrations to make the treatment very comfortable.
Some clients may experience an intense tingling sensation, but this can be minimised by applying CACI Amino-Lift Peptide Complex in combination with the Wrinkle Comb
Electrical implant devices such as a pacemaker.
This is because the electrical devices use an electrical current that keeps the devices working. Since CACI also uses an electrical current, it can interfere with the electrical signal of a pacemaker or cochlear ear implant.
Epilepsy; history of seizures.
Because Epilepsy can be caused by abnormal electricity flow in neurons and cells of our bodies, we do not want to risk the safety of the individual by increasing the electrical current in the body with the application of microcurrent stimulation.
Active Cancer
If you have been diagnosed with an active form of cancer, it is not recommended you receive a microcurrent treatment. This is because Cancer affects the cells of the body, and one of the primary benefits and processes of Microcurrent technology is its ability to boost Adenosine Triphosphate (or ATP) energy within the skin cells. Even though we are working locally on the face with microcurrent facial treatments, it is always better to be safe rather than sorry and take the extra precaution with these conditions by not using microcurrent under this condition.
Pregnancy
It is best to hold off on microcurrent treatments while pregnant as a precautionary measure. This is regulation across the board with many of the modalities used in aesthetics as the body has heightened sensitivity during pregnancy. If you are eager to schedule your microcurrent facial after the pregnancy, it is safe to receive a microcurrent facial while you are breastfeeding.
Heart Conditions (recommended to consult with physician)
If you have a heart condition, microcurrent should only be performed after consultation and approval by your physician. This is an MHRA requirement.
Diabetes (recommended to consult with physician)
If you have Diabetes, microcurrent should only be performed after consultation and approval by your physician. This is an MHRA requirement.
Recent Facial Surgery
We recommend CACI Micro-current or DMK Enzyme Therapy treatment prior to any invasive procedure like facial surgery - but it isn't recommended until healing from facial surgery is complete. This is best as to not disrupt the healing process of the surgery. Stay in touch with your doctor and make sure they clear you for a microcurrent treatment before scheduling this treatment post-op. At that point microcurrent facial treatments can be brought back into your skin care routine in tiny doses to avoid irritating the recently injured area of the skin.
